Company Profile
Staff Bios:

Parallax Productions, Inc. formed in 1985, began as a "video-to-go" operation, specializing in high quality on-location taping of events, commercials, training, corporate and industrial applications. Utilizing the latest state-of-the-art technology such as Ikegami cameras and portable 1-inch type-C recording, Parallax soon gained a reputation as the premiere video production company in Palm Beach County.

After one year of operation, it was apparent that there was a great need to better service our expanding client base. The result: major company expansion in the form of new offices, a post production edit suite and a 2500 square foot studio that exemplified the standards of quality and excellence for which Parallax had become known.

Parallax became the Palm Beach's first and foremost full service independent video and film production facility. Now we could provide clients with full service - from conception and scripting, producing and coordination services, shooting on location or in studio, all the way through post production and duplication services on multi- formats including 1-inch, Beta SP, ¾ -inch and VHS.

The edit suite put us on the leading edge of South Florida's growing video industry. It offered local and out of state clients a comfortable environment with an impressive array of the latest in equipment. In the early '90's, Parallax expanded its services and equipment, opened a second On-Line Digital edit suite, a Non-linear edit suite and added two graphic work stations. Today we're on the leading edge of sophisticated Animation and Graphic Design providing services such as Desktop Publishing and Website Design.

Of course, the greatest equipment in the world is only as good as the people that operate it. Our staff takes a special pride not only in their technical expertise, but also in their ability to communicate and work well with our highly diverse clientele. At Parallax we solve problems with a creative touch that sets our work apart from the rest of the competition.

Company principals Jim Austin and Michael Kintzel have over 40 years of hands- on experience in the West Palm Beach marketplace, working at WPTV, WPEC, and WFLX, helping them mold Parallax's strong commitment to community. Combining their experience with third partner David Schain's financial and business knowledge and a skilled staff has helped create a solid company, proud to be a part of an exciting and fast growing business community in the Palm Beaches. top of page
